今回の記事では最近需要が高くなってきている短期滞在ビザについてご説明させていただきます。

皆様は「短期滞在」という在留資格を聞いたことはございますでしょうか？

短期滞在ビザは日本での滞在期間が3ヵ月未満である場合に申請することが多い在留資格であり、主に「観光」・「商用」・「知人・親族訪問」目的での活動に該当する場合に申請が許可されます。

許可される日数としては、15日、30日、60日、90日があります。

コロナが蔓延する以前は外国人観光客で賑わっていましたがその在留資格も短期滞在（観光）です。

※2022年9月7日現在、添乗員なしのパッケージ付旅行の場合、短期滞在「観光」の在留資格が認められていますがパッケージ付でない個人での旅行は現状認められておりませんのでご注意ください。

さて、今回は上記に紹介した短期滞在ビザのうち、「商用」目的での来日に焦点を当てて解説させていただきます。

【短期滞在（商用）】

短期商用ビザは日本にビジネス目的で来日する場合に使用される在留資格です。

例としては日本語学校の視察や投資目的での来日、日本企業との商談、業務連絡、会議出席、契約調印、アフターサービス、宣伝、市場調査、文化交流、自治体交流、スポーツ交等が挙げられます。

但し、ビジネス目的と言っても日本で「報酬を得る目的」での活動は行うことができません。日本での商談や視察等において外国の所属企業から報酬を受ける場合には、この短期商用ビザにおける「報酬を受ける活動」には含まれません。

しかし、外国企業から報酬を受ける場合であっても短期商用ビザの活動範囲を超えてその業務を行う場合には「報酬を受ける活動」に当たり短期商用ビザが認められないケースがございますのでご注意ください。

※現在、短期商用ビザを申請するためにはERFS申請をし、受付済証の発行を受けることが必要となります。

また、国によっては日本との協定によりビザ免除国となっていますので当所にご連絡いただければ日本に招へいしたい方の国が、日本との間でビザ免除国となっているかお調べ致します。

日本側で必要となる書類は国によっても異なりますが主に必要になるのは以下の通りになります。

【短期商用ビザ　日本側必要書類】

■受付済証（2022年9月7日現在、コロナウィルス蔓延のため必要）

⇒ERFS（エルフス）の申請が必要になります。

■招聘理由書 

■申請人名簿

※申請人が複数いる場合 

■身元保証書 

■滞在予定表 

■招聘機関に関する資料（次のいずれか）　

・法人登記簿謄本　

・会社四季報（最新版）の写し　

・会社・団体概要説明書　

・案内書やパンフレット

In this article, I would like to explain about the short-term stay visa, which is becoming more and more in demand these days.
Have you ever heard of the "Temporary Visitor" status?

A Temporary Visitor visa is often applied for when the period of stay in Japan is less than 3 months and the activity is mainly for the purpose of "sightseeing," "business," or "visiting acquaintances or relatives.

The number of days allowed are 15, 30, 60, and 90 days.

Before the Corona epidemic, the area was crowded with foreign tourists, whose status of residence is also Temporary Visitor (Tourism).
As of September 7, 2022, "Temporary Visitor" status is granted for unaccompanied package tours, but please note that individual travel without a package is currently not permitted.

The following is an explanation of the above-mentioned short-term stay visas with a focus on "business" purposes.

Temporary Visitor (Business) Visa
A Temporary Business Visa is used for those who are coming to Japan for business purposes. Examples of such activities include visiting Japan to inspect a Japanese language school or for investment purposes, business negotiations with Japanese companies, business contacts, attending meetings, signing contracts, after-sales service, advertising, market research, cultural exchange, exchange with local governments, sports exchange, etc. However, even for business purposes, it is not necessary to have a "commercial" visa to enter Japan.
However, business activities for the purpose of "earning remuneration" in Japan are not allowed. Receiving remuneration from a foreign company during a business meeting or inspection tour in Japan is not included in the "activities to receive remuneration" for the purpose of a short-term business visa.

However, please note that even if you receive remuneration from a foreign company, if you perform activities beyond the scope of your short-term commercial visa, they may be considered "remunerated activities" and you may not be granted a short-term commercial visa.
Currently, in order to apply for a short-term commercial visa, it is necessary to apply for an ERFS and receive a certificate of acceptance.

Some countries have visa waiver agreements with Japan, so please contact us and we will check if the country you wish to invite to Japan is a visa waiver country with Japan.

The documents required on the Japanese side vary from country to country, but the main requirements are as follows.

Short-term business visa required documents for Japan
Certificate of Receipt (required due to coronavirus outbreak as of September 7, 2022) ⇒ ERFS application is required.
Letter of Reason for Invitation 
List of applicants *If there is more than one applicant 
Letter of Guarantee 
Schedule of stay 
Documents related to the inviting organization (one of the following)　
A certified copy of the corporate registration　
A copy of the company's quarterly report (latest edition)　
A copy of the latest edition of the Quarterly Journal of Corporations　
A guidebook or pamphlet

We can also prepare the above documents and apply for ERFS on your behalf, which is necessary to issue a Certificate of Acceptance.
The cost is 46,000 yen (including tax) for the preparation of short-term business visa documents and 11,000 yen (including tax) for the ERFS application, which is very affordable. (The cost may vary depending on the level of difficulty.)

In the case of a short-term business visa, the person applying for the visa must be the visitor to Japan, so we will provide you with the documents we have prepared, and you will bring them to the Japanese embassy or consulate to apply for the visa in person.

Many people who wish to invite a foreigner to Japan for business purposes do not know what documents to prepare in Japan.
